Martin Carroll Images

By Commission

Martin specialises in hand raising silverware from one piece of silver, using traditional techniques that have been handed down and used in the silversmithing industry for centuries. He can make literally anything, and it’s all done by hand.

Intensely passionate about his creations, Martin is both designer and manufacturer. He works by commission, creating luxury items that are unusual, beautiful and undeniably unique. He often incorporates other metals and even gem stones in his creations.

Working with him is a special experience. He believes that the only way to turn your vision into a reality is by working very closely with you, so that you feel a part of the process – from the design concept to final presentation. In many cases, the final piece evolves from this shared experience.

Every Martin Carroll piece is verified for authenticity by the Assay office in Edinburgh and hallmarked with both their stamp and the unique Martin Carroll mark.

The Process

The Martin Carroll process is centuries old; methods that have been handed down from master silversmiths to their apprentices over generations. Today these methods are a dying skill, with modern techniques taking the place of traditional methods and mass production making hand-made crafts a thing of the past.

For Martin, creating something is not a process, it’s a passion.
